OHS-COVID-19 Daily Inspection Checklist

The following are some points for your office or site to prepare the checklist for the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic:

1- Office COVID-19 Compliance

  • Are employees actively practising social distancing with a minimal distance of 1.5m from other staff?
  • Are Office OHS Notice boards kept up to date with COVID-19 precautionary/other information?
  • Are hand hygiene posters posted in the washroom/office toilet facilities?
  • Are daily cleaning logs maintained for the office, kitchen, toilet?
  • Have tables, countertops keyboards, mouse, copiers & printers been disinfected today?
  • Are hand sanitizers replenished and filled daily?
  • Do washrooms have sufficient soap available for the days use?
  • Are enough paper towels available for hand drying in the washrooms?
  • Are enough paper towels available for hand drying in the kitchen?
  • Have commonly used surfaces been cleaned e.g., door handles, handrails etc.?
  • Have employee body temperatures been recorded?
  • Are there enough numbers of face masks available in the office for workers who have developed a cough and sneeze?

2- Site Toilet / Washroom / Ablutions Locations

  • Are hand hygiene posters posted in the washroom/toilet facilities?
  • Are daily cleaning logs maintained for the washroom/ablutions?
  • Do washrooms have sufficient soap available for the days use?
  • Are enough paper towels available for hand drying in the washrooms?
  • Is washroom main access door left open to limit touching?  
  • Are all extractor fans observed functional?
  • Has daily exacerbated disinfecting of ablutions been conducted?
  • Are paper towels available in Wudu (Prayer Washing facilities) locations?

3- Workers Gathering Area

  • Have rest areas been clean and maintained daily.
  • Are tables and chairs are cleaned frequently and disinfected before and after daily use.
  • Are workers actively practising social distancing with a minimal distance of 1.5m when possible?
  • Are daily cleaning logs maintained in rest and canteen areas?
  • Are site OHS notice boards kept up to date with COVID-19 information?
  • Are scaffold & Staircase handrails disinfected regularly throughout the day?
  • Have all type of heavy machinery such as tower Crane, Mobile Crane, Mobile Equipment, cradles and hoist operator instruments/devices been cleaned and disinfected essentially at shift changes.
  • Is bus disinfecting being carried out before and after having workers use the busses?
  • Is there enough PPE available for first aiders /Male nurse to perform their duties?
  • Have all OHS/other technical induction/orientations been minimized to ALARP level for workers at a time with enough social distancing compliance?
