Job Safety Analysis for Bar Bending

The following are some of hazards and control measures that can be included in the JSA:

Hazard

1. Person falls on protruding rebar’s
2. Tying wire penetration
3. Fall of rebar cage on the person
4. Tripping Hazard
5. Poor Housekeeping
6. Cut injury

Control Measure

1. Cutting and bending of protruding rebar’s
2. Provide caps to the exposed rebar
3. Appropriate PPEs (Hand glove, Goggle, Helmet, Safety shoe)
4. Inspection of tools
5. Housekeeping & proper stacking of material should be maintained
6. Proper work platform/Fall protection to be provided
7. Separate collection yard at the site should be made for collection all waste rebars.
