4.0. Control Measures
4.1. Heavy load to be lifted mechanically.
4.2. Proper manual handling Training & TBT shall be conducted.
4.3. Manual handling to be avoided for weights exceeding then (20 kg) load limits of individuals.
4.4. Load to be divided.
4.5. Avoid awkward posturing while lifting loads manually.
4.6. LITE (Load, Individual, Task, Environment) to consider and proper manual handling techniques shall be adopted.
4.7. Overloading should be avoided.
4.8. Inspected tool shall be used.
4.9. Access must be clear from any obstruction.
4.10. Dip trays shall be used to avoid any leakage of paint.
4.11. Minimum quantity of the paint shall be stored at the site.
4.12. All painting material shall be stored at well ventilated areas.
4.13. Mixture compound must be away from the hot work activity.
4.14. Do not implement electricity work near paint work activity.
4.15. Mandatory PPE must be worn during the activity because it causes potential harm through inhaling, lungs issues, breathing issues, skin disease etc.
4.16. Fire extinguisher must be available at site.
4.17. Temporary working plat forms must be inspected and tagged by 3rd party certified scaffolding inspector.
4.18. Only yellow tagged scaffolding platform is allow to be used.
4.19. Ladders for access will be provided and planks must be secured with binding wire.
4.20. 3rd party certified full body harness 100% tie-off must be use, when height is 1.8 meters and above.
4.21. Workers having height phobia will not be assigned to Work at height.
4.22. Tool transportation (Pull ups. Pull downs) will be done with rope.
4.23. Work at height area will be cordoned off for preventing un-authorized entry and Safety signs and safety instructions will be provided to keep nearby workers alert and safe.
4.24. Work at height will be suspended in case of adverse weather.
4.25. Material is not allowed to store on platform.
4.26. Sitting and moving on the pipelines and structure is strictly prohibited and zero tolerance on it.
4.27. Proper arrangement of lights shall be made.
4.28. All workers shall use mandatory PPEs and high visibility west during night working.
4.29. A safety officer shall be present at site while night working.
4.30. Ensure regular visual inspection and maintenance of lighting equipment’s.
4.31. Unwanted materials must be removed from working site
4.32. Good housekeeping to be maintained
4.33. Proper stacking of material should be done and shall be barricaded.
4.34. Material segregation to be maintained.
4.35. Proper housekeeping shall be ensured.
4.36. Snake catcher must be available at site during night working.

4.39. Usable material keeps in a temporary material storage area with a hard barricade and signage.
4.40. Proper stacking of material must be done to avoid the line of fire.
